Jasmin Sakai-Gonzalez oversees more than 30 annual international trade projects, working to advance global trade in the region and help local businesses build international relationships. She serves as liaison between foreign diplomats, trade organizations and key partners, including government and business agencies at the local, state and federal level.
 

Responsibilities

• Management and implementation of California State Trade Expansion Program (California STEP) Grant, including grant proposal submissions, quarterly reporting, and post-award tracking.
• Development of program budget goals and benchmarks to support overall success of dept. budget; exceed goals by average of 10-20% annually.
• Develop & manage five planning committees and councils - 25% increase in volunteer recruitment in 2015
• Implement sponsorship outreach campaigns and secure funds for identified programs
• Work with corporate board members and contacts to establish and grow donor relationships
• Maintain program credibility and communication with key stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.
• Strategic implementation of marketing plans to increase overall program visibility
• Manage department services and implement procedural and outreach strategies to increase revenue stream
• Produce monthly newsletter e-publication, website content and other department marketing materials
