Janet Jainarain is responsible for all marketing and research functions for Enterprise Florida's International Trade and Development Division including promotion of in-state and overseas trade events, marketing materials, strategic planning, reporting on division performance measures, managing client databases and external on-line database subscriptions. She is an expertise in foreign trade statistics, international trade, general business research, and state and federal grants management.

 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for oversight of more than $4 million in state and federal grant funds awarded to Florida small and medium-sized companies for expanding their global footprint.
• Prepared Enterprise Florida’s winning applications for three State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Grants from the U.S. Small Business
• Design and manage multiple grant programs to assist Florida companies to enter and expand in overseas markets, from designing applications, promotional materials and internal review procedures to reviewing and approving applications and disbursement of funds.
• Produce widely referenced reports on Florida’s international trade position annually and monthly.
• Launched the Florida Export Directory (www.FloridaExportDirectory.com) with an external publisher.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting on division performance measures to senior staff, division staff and state agencies monthly, quarterly, and annually through reports and dashboards designed in SalesForce.
• Oversee execution of annual Customer Satisfaction Survey of division clients.
• Maintain relationships with a wide range of federal, state, and local trade and economic development partners around the state
• Oversee online email campaigns, event promotion and bi-weekly trade events newsletter.
• Created Enterprise Florida’s winning application for the “President’s E-Star Award for Service” in 2011, which recognizes organizations that “contribute significantly in the effort to increase United States exports.”
