Rhode Island Commerce is the official economic development organization for the State of Rhode Island. The mission of Rhode Island Commerce is to work with public, private and non-profit partners to create the conditions for businesses in all sectors to thrive and to improve the quality of life for our citizens by promoting the state's long-term economic health and prosperity.

 

Expansion and Relocation

Rhode Island Commerce supports the expansion of in-state businesses, and helps out-of-state businesses find the locations and resources they need to flourish here. Of course, the perfect location is “perfect” only when a talented workforce, required permits, and proper incentives are in place.

We help companies:

• Connect to workforce development programs, learn more.
• Identify financial incentives and tax credits.
• Navigate state and local zoning, permitting, licensure, and regulatory concerns.
• Find resources that could help their bottom line, like the Renewable Energy Fund or Enterprise Zones.
