Empowering Success

The Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) promotes a robust, diversified and prosperous economy, enriching the quality of life for Nevada citizens by stimulating business expansion and retention, encouraging entrepreneurial enterprise, attracting new businesses and facilitating community development to enable economic growth and prosperity.

International Trade

The International Trade division programs and funding assistance are aimed at both assisting Nevada businesses to begin or expand activities in international markets and attracting foreign investment to the state.

Trade missions, trades show, and international marketing efforts are designed to assist Nevada companies to enter a specific market while working closely with the Nevada GOED International Division and partners. The focus is on finding distributors and buyers for Nevada products and services. Some grant funding may be available to offset costs of trade mission participation.

International Trade division works closely with the Select USA program of the U.S. Department of Commerce and companies from other countries who are interested in setting up U.S. operations in Nevada. We work closely with our local Development Authorities to get the necessary assistance for these companies.

Main programs and funding assistance available to companies through GOEDs International Trade division are:

  • STEP Grant - financial assistance awards to Nevada small businesses to participate in GOEDs led trade missions, trade shows, international marketing and export trainings.
  • NV Global - Partnership-based global recruitment platform that will enhance Nevada’s position as an entry point to the U.S.

Emerging Small Business

The Emerging Small Business (ESB) program was created to encourage the development and growth of small businesses in Nevada. The program seeks to assist small businesses in obtaining work with the state and local government agencies through identifying small businesses that want to contract with governments. For more information on the Emerging Small Business program, visit our website.
