SCORE's mission is to assist and support small businesses, in order to foster vibrant small business communities, through mentoring and education. Small, local businesses are the foundation of strong local communities, generating employment and local economic well-being.

With the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, SCORE has helped more than 11 million entrepreneurs since 1964 to get established and grow. SCORE's model of volunteerism attracts experienced professionals with a broad variety of experience to advise clients on the technical and practical aspects of business, such as writing a business plan, budgeting, cash flow, marketing, e-commerce, legal issues, exporting, importing and many more.

 

SCORE Services

Free Counseling - SCORE offers free, individual business advice for all small businesses. SCORE is unique because there are no pre-screening or readiness standards that a client must meet and all who seek business counseling are welcome, free of charge. These sessions cover the complete range of issues facing small business, such as: assessing the viability of a business idea, developing a business plan, finding financing, marketing on the internet, legal and human resource concerns.

For small businesses planning to export, SCORE mentors will guide them through the processes of market research, partner development, logistics and administrative hurdles.

Workshops - SCORE's workshops are low cost and practical, giving attendees the ability to learn in half a day how to apply the knowledge gained to their own situation. Our core business classes cover the fundamental tools every entrepreneur needs.
